A forum for research that engages with the physics, aesthetics, poetics, and/or politics of outer space. Scholarship is welcome from any discipline, on any historical period, from any cultural perspective, treating any part of the heavens. Along with providing a framework for sharing research in this rapidly developing area of study, the seminar aims to develop an “outer space” for the gathering of scholarly communities that do not often interact on Earth—in particular, it hopes to foster discussion and build alliances between scientists and humanists.
