## SPEAKER: Susannah Wright and Scott McGill, Rice University

Translators and classicists Susannah Wright and Scott McGill will workshop translations in progress by Harvard students in this session, open to observation by the public.

### About the Speakers

**Susannah Wright** is an assistant professor of classical studies and Roman history at Rice University; she received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2024. **Scott McGill** is Deedee McMurtry Professor in Humanities at Rice University. Their new translation of Virgil's *Aeneid* was published by Norton in August 2025, complementing Emily Wilson's translation of Homer's epics.
