For the first time, this fall, four mothers will continue their pilgrimage into the United States. In an event moderated by <a data-url="https://history.fas.harvard.edu/people/kirsten-weld" href="https://history.fas.harvard.edu/people/kirsten-weld" title="">Kirsten Weld</a>, <em>madres</em> will engage in conversation with <a data-url="https://www.pitzer.edu/academics/faculty/suyapa-portillo-villeda/" href="https://www.pitzer.edu/academics/faculty/suyapa-portillo-villeda/" title="">Suyapa Portillo Villeda</a> and <a data-url="https://lalacs.dartmouth.edu/people/jorge-e-cuellar" href="https://lalacs.dartmouth.edu/people/jorge-e-cuellar" title="">Jorge E. Cuéllar</a> to discuss the criminalization of migration and the root causes of displacement, as well as ongoing efforts to locate the disappeared. This conversation will focus not only on the right to migrate but centers the voices of those struggling to stay and thrive in their homelands. <!--break--></p><h3>	About the Event</h3><p>	This event (and the caravan) is co-organized by <a data-url="https://movimientomigrantemesoamericano.org/" href="https://movimientomigrantemesoamericano.org/" title="">Movimiento Migrante Mesoamericano</a>, <a data-url="https://www.migrantrootsmedia.org/" href="https://www.migrantrootsmedia.org/" title="">Migrant Roots Media</a>, and <a data-url="https://paxchristiusa.org/" href="https://paxchristiusa.org/" title="">Pax Christi USA</a>. This event will be available in English and Spanish.</p><p>	<em>Photograph by Rubén Figueroa.</em></p>
