Professor Menon will facilitate our first round of discussion of Rabindranath Tagore's novel, The Home and the World.
Tara K. Menon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Harvard University and a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows. She is currently writing a book called Spoken Words: Direct Speech in Nineteenth-Century British Novels, which is under contract with Princeton University Press. Her writing has appeared in publications including The New York Times Book Review, The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Sewanee Review, Bookforum, The Paris Review, and Public Books, where she co-edits the Literary Fiction section.
The reading group will convene again on April 6 for a final discussion of Tagore's novel, facilitated by Professor Poulomi Saha (University of California, Berkeley).
