Dialectical Thinking in the Humanities
This seminar considers the tradition of dialectical thinking as it originated in the ancient world, was codified in the writings of G. W. F. Hegel, and developed up to the present day. To this end, we welcome work in philosophical aesthetics, social theory, phenomenology, hermeneutics, and deconstruction insofar as it engages (productively, critically) with this tradition.
