Ciara Cremin's books draw upon Marx, Lacan, Deleuze, Marcuse and Adorno, amongst others, to problematise a broad range of issues. Since openly from 2015 identifying as a woman, she has published two books on the transgender and femininity theme, Man-Made Woman: The Dialectics of Cross-Dressing (2017, Pluto Press) and The Future is Feminine: Capitalism and the Masculine Disorder (2021, Bloomsbury Academic). She is an editor for the Duke University Press journal, Transgender Studies Quarterly.
